Jordon Watts
My name is Jordon Watts, aka “Jordi-Mack,” to all my friends and family. I live in Boaz, AL. I graduated Sardis High School in 2002. I have a wonderful momma and daddy, Phillip and Wanda Watts, and precious little sister, Ryleigh. I am a member of Hatchet Creek Hunting Club in Rockford, AL, where I do most of my deer and turkey hunting. We are all like one big family down there. I am also a member of the Panther Creek Hunting Club in Blanche, AL. I got started hunting and fishing with my favorite uncle Ricky Clough and my cousin Josh Clough. Ricky taught me just about everything I know about hunting deer and turkey and catching fish. If you have a few minutes, let me tell you about my first deer hunt. I was a senior in high school and my Uncle Ricky carried me to Rockford the day after Christmas, where we attended a dog deer hunt. I guess my mom still thought of me as a little boy, and she told me before we left, “Now Jordon, don’t leave your Uncle Ricky’s side!” Ricky and I were standing there and one of his hunting dogs walked up. Ricky decided to carry his dog back to the truck, so I had to go with him since my mom said so. Before we could get back to shoot, the dogs ran a big buck across the road. That’s one time I wish I had not listened to my mom! My dad, Ricky, Josh, and I have had many more memorable hunts since that day. My buddy, Brock Cash, was also one of the main reasons I started hunting. In the past several years, we have shared some memorable times in the woods and in life. My love for the outdoors changes with the seasons. In the Fall I rut, in the Spring I strut, and in the Summer I fish. In the fall, I spend most of my time in the deer woods. Occasionally you will find me in a duck blind with my buddy Hog. When spring rolls around, that is when things get serious. It is my favorite time of year, and the only thing on my mind is turkeys. Those wary old birds have made a fool of me more times than not! So anybody who has ever said turkey hunting is easy is a fool. In the summertime, my buddy Nate-Dog and I know how to burn gas and catch bass! We tear the “Big G” in Guntersville, AL up. We spend most of our summer blowing all our money on tournament entry fees. And if we are lucky, we will get some of our money back. A few years ago, I met my good buddy Scotty Maddux. I spent many nights in his shop watching him turn pot calls. My only wish was that someday I could do something to help the Strut-N Custom Turkey Calls company grow. This past winter, my dream came true when I started building diaphragm calls. My love for call building has grown extraordinarily. I have pulled many long nights trying to perfect this art. It is always good to have my buddy Eric to stay up with me and keep me company and spot check my calls when needed. We are striving to build a first class reputation in the world of turkey calls. If for some reason you are not 100% satisfied with any of our products, we will be more than happy to make it right. We strive for perfection! ON A STRING BABY!!!!
